Under 12's Representative Hockey 

 

Our Under 12s representative hockey program welcomes players aged 12 and under as of December 31st in the competition year.

​

The Under 12 Representative Team participates in the Boys Coulter Shield Carnival and the Girls Southern Cross Carnival, both held at Brisbane Hockey (Downey Park) every August.

​

Selection trials take place before these events, and chosen players are expected to attend Sunday morning training sessions as scheduled by GCHA. Players must be registered with Hockey Queensland to be eligible. Parents of selected players are responsible for arranging transportation for any intercity commitments.

​

The Carnival Date is Sunday, TBC.

​

Under 14’s & U16’s Representative Hockey 

​

Under 14 & Under 16 representative hockey is open to players aged 14 or less for U14 and aged 16 or less for U16, as of 31st December in the competition year.

​

Age Eligibility for U14:

 

• U14:  Birthdates between 1 January 2010, and 31 December 2012

• U16:  Birthdates between 1 January 2008, and 31 December 2010

​

​The boys Coulter Shield & Girls Southern Cross consist of a single-day carnivals held annually before the state championships.

​

Under 18's Representative Hockey 

 

Our Under 18s representative hockey program welcomes players aged 18 or under as of December 31st in the competition year.

 

Age Eligibility:

• Birthdates between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2009.

Open (18+) Hockey Queensland Championships

​

​

The Hockey Queensland Championships for 18+ representative hockey are open to players over 18 years old in the competition year. This event is for top-tier athletes and serves as a selection opportunity for the Queensland Country team.

• Hockey Qld Championships - State Hockey Centre from 3 - 6 May 2024

• Men's Masters (34,45+,55+) - Townsville Hockey from 3 to 6 May 2024

• U14 Girls - Ipswich Hockey from 26 to 29 June 2024

• U14 Boys - Toowoomba Hockey from 30 June to 3 July 2024

• U16 Boys - Gympie Hockey from 15 to 18 September 2024

• U16 Girls - Sunshine Coast Hockey from 19 to 22 September 2024
