ABOUT GOLD COAST HOCKEY

The Gold Coast Hockey Association has the main role of organising, promoting and developing hockey on the Gold Coast.  There are over 2000 members of the association consisting of players and volunteers ranging in age from 5 years to over 70 years.

The first Gold Coast Men’s Club teams were formed in 1959 and the first Women's Club teams in 1960.

They played in the Tweed  District Association at Murwillumbah till the Gold Coast Association was formed in 1965.

The $16.5 million redevelopment of the Gold Coast Hockey Centre was completed in June 2017 and now provides the Gold Coast with contemporary hockey facilities designed to cater for elite training and competitions as well as community use. It has created opportunities for future training camps and major competitions. The redevelopment included two newly developed, internationally certified, all-weather synthetic hockey pitches with north-south orientation, in addition to an expansion of the clubhouse amenities, an upgraded car park and surrounding parklands.

Whether you are new to hockey or have played for 30 years, we have age groups and competition divisions to suit every age and ability.
