Injury & Insurance Information
Gold Coast Hockey Association members are covered under the Hockey Australia National Insurance Program, administered by Marsh Insurance.
The personal injury insurance policy is designed to provide eligible players, officials, volunteers, and members with assistance towards certain costs that may arise from an injury sustained while participating in an approved hockey activity.
If you sustain an injury while participating in hockey
If you are injured during a hockey activity, please follow these steps:
- Ensure your injury has been recorded in Altius against the match in which the injury occurred. This is an important step in the claims process.
- Notify your Club Representative or Team Manager as soon as possible so they are aware of the injury and can provide any assistance required.
- Review the Hockey Australia insurance information to understand the level of cover available and the process for lodging a claim.
- Submit your claim directly through Marsh Insurance if you believe your injury may be eligible for cover.
State and National Championships
If you sustain an injury while participating at a State or National Championship event, please contact Hockey Queensland or Hockey Australia directly to ensure the injury is recorded through the appropriate event processes and to obtain the relevant information required to lodge your insurance claim.
Please note that the Hockey Australia Personal Injury Insurance policy is subject to specific terms, conditions, exclusions, waiting periods, and benefit limits. Members are encouraged to review the policy documentation carefully to understand what cover may apply to their individual circumstances.
