Queensland Reps at Nationals Future Camp

Hockey Queensland would like to recognise the efforts of the following Queenslanders who were selected to attend the Hockey Australia National Futures Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport, ACT Academy of Sport and Hockey ACT in Canberra late last year.

The camp, run by National Junior Coach Craig Victory with the assistance of state and territory National Training Centre coaches, provided a first opportunity for 31 young athletes aged 16-18 to get to grips with what it takes to become a Hockeyroo and marked the start of what, for some, could be a four year journey to the 2017 Junior World Cup.

Well done to Stephanie, Renee, Savannah and Jessica who were selected to take part in four matches against the U18 Japanese team as part of the Camp.
