It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Carl Dalton as the associations High Performance Manager. Carl’s appointment is for 20 hours per week, as was advertised recently in Career One.
Carl has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the sport of hockey and undoubtedly will be an enormous asset to the association as we move forward with our mission to develop excellence and enjoyment for all members across the whole association. Carl is enormously respected around the country with long standing relationships with Hockey Queensland and Hockey Australia.
Carl is one of the few level 3 NCAS High Performance coaches in Australia with a long list of accolades in an extensive 20 year career in the sport of hockey that has seen him travel globally as a coach, presenter and administrator. Some of Carls experiences are Australian Futures coach, Queensland Academy of Sport Coach, Canadian Men’s National team assistant coach Field Hockey Canada’s key creator in its national player athlete development model and FIH Presenter. Carl is also well known for his ability to talent identify, develop juniors and reshape culture within teams and associations to ensure a positive experience for all involved.
I am excited about Carl joining our team and together with fellow panellists Julie Ashton Lucy and John Campbell we were extremely impressed by what Gold Coast Hockey will benefit from having Carl involved in our association.
Yours in hockey,
