Fair Play Weekend has been introduced to raise team and club awareness of good sportsmanship and encourage play in the true spirit of the game of hockey that we all love.   

It is expected that clubs will discuss this initiative with their players, team management, and supporters to ensure maximum compliance with the GCHA Codes of Conduct, Match Umpires and Tech Bench.

All senior games over the weekend will be allocated points for player conduct, bench conduct, and spectator conduct by the umpires allocated to each game (including feedback from the tech bench). The team judged as best demonstrating the behaviours that are outlined in the GCHA Codes of Conduct will be awarded a “Fair Play” certificate and a “Just Hockey” voucher presented to the Captain of the team at the end of each game.
