The under Gold Coast under 11's Southern Cross Girls training tonight has been cancelled this thursday.

The first leg of the Under 18 mens Coulter shield will take place at GCHA this Sunday 25th of July.There will be a great showcase of skill and athletism on display as the best of South East Queensland battle it out for top spot.

 This year GCHA will be entering the 2 sides into the competition so come along and cheer them on as they proudly represent our association.

The Day kicks off with Gold Coast 1 vs Brisbane 1 at 7.30am on GCHA turf and Gold Coast 2 vs Ipswich 2 at 7.30am Labrador turf.

Gold Coast Locals CAPRI DIV 1 Men have made it through to the JHWilliams Intercity FInal. Along the way they had to win the Semi against Hockey Burleigh to ensure a place in the Final.

Capri will be taking on Tweed Border locals Waratahs and will be a great match to watch.

The Final will be played at Murwillumbah at 2pm.

So if you want to watch a great game and support our local talent come down to Murwillumbah for the afternoon.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GOLD COAST UNDER 15'S BOYS WHO HAVE RETURNED HOME AS STATE CHAMPIONS.

THE BOYS ENDURED A WEEK OF HIGH QUALITY OPPONENTS TO EARN THEIR SPOT IN THE FINAL AGAINST AN INFORM IPSWICH. GOLD COAST HAD ONLY LOST ONE GAME IN THE ROUND MATCHES (LOST TO IPSWICH) WHILE IPSWICH WENT UNDEFEATED. HOWEVER IT WAS A VERY CALM AND COLLECTED GOLD COAST THAT FINISHED THE GAME 2 - 1 VICTORS AFTER BEING DOWN 1 NIL EARLY IN THE GAME.

JUNIOR COMPETITION FRIDAY JULY 9 2010
 
 

Over the past 2 days a   large  number of requests to reschedule games have come forward to the associaiton  from clubs due to a high number of representative players involved in state titles and school holidays.  In addition to this we have players from three clubs competing in the southern skies tournament in Brisbane.  The table below indicates which requests have been met. Whilst the association acknowledges that our representative players can make the trip back in time to compete in most games, it is not a situation it wishes to place it's representative players in. Many are fatigued and some carrying injuries. Most representative players also play in the under 18 competition and we do not wish to place them in this situation out of "duty of care." Team lists have been perused and exact numbers of players affected taken into consideration when making decisions.  If any coach or junior coordinator has any concerns please don't hesitate to contact me direct.
 
The games noted for rescheduling will need to be played within 3 weeks. The day and time should be negotiated between the coaches of both teams then the agreed date passed onto the office administrator. For turf availabilty please contact the office and Labrador Hockey Club.

1pm Game will now be NORTHERN STAR v WARATAHS and 230pm CAPRI v HOCKEY BURLEIGH in a local CLASH of the TITANs!

WINNERS of these games will compete for CHAMPIONSHIP honours at Tweed on the 18th July at 2pm.
