GCHA has appointed Peter Keeble the 2010 Opens Mens Coach.

Peter will be taking away the Open men to the State Championships in Brisbane in May. Players are encouraged to get in their nomination forms asap. Training will commence on WEDNESDAY 17th March at 7.30pm. If you are interested in attending please contact the association and submit your nomination.

Exhibition Match being held at approx 2.30pm.

Sign up for Seniors and Juniors and all NEW Junior Registrations will be given a FREE hockey pack*.

*Only for paid juniors that are new to the assocation.

Gold Coast  Hockey Carnival

Who - School & Club Teams from overseas and all parts of OZ 

What -  The Gold Coast Hockey Carnival is a youth sporting event held on the Gold Coast each July. Our event is a week long Hockey Carnival focused on Spirit and Sportsmanship. 2010 will be our inaugaral event with teams particiapting Senior (18yrs and under) Intermediate (16yrs and under)  and Junior (14yrs and under) playing divisions

Why – For a great week of Sun, Surf, Sand and of course some great Hockey. Come and test your skills against national and  international teams whilst visiting Australia’s premier theme parks and of course setting some time aside for shopping!

Where – Australia’s world famous Gold Coast located in Sunny Queensland, Australia

When – Our event is held each year in the July School holidays. Saturday 3rd July – Saturday 11th July 2010.

Managers Meeting and Welcome Drinks (7 pm)

Day 2 – Sunday 4 July
Theme Park Visit

Day 3 – Monday 5 July
Welcome Ceremony
Match Day #1 - Round Robin competition (12 – 5 pm)

Day 4 – Tuesday 6 July
Free Day / Theme Park Visit

Day 5 – Wednesday 7 July
Hockey Coaching Clinic  (12 pm)
Match Day #2 - Round Robin competition (12 – 5 pm)

Day 6 – Thursday 8 July
Free Day / Theme Park Visit
Spirit and Sportsmanship Carnival Dinner at Movie World (Rugby, Netball & Hockey Teams)

Day 7 – Friday 9 July
Match Day #3  - Finals  & Awards Ceremony (9 -12 pm)

Day 8 – Saturday 10 July
