GCHA are continually monitoring the current health situation with references from Government, Hockey Australia and Hockey Queensland since our last update on the 17th March.
It is clear now that we will not be able to recommence our competition in May, as many of us were hoping.
Please be aware that when we received clearance from the governing bodies to recommence, GCHA have already prepared different formats on how the competition may look. We will be ready to go ………
GCHA looks forward to welcoming everyone back at the GCHC. Exciting news that Pitch1 is already in replacement faze. Lots to look forward to.
Stay safe. Keep practising your skills. Stay fit and ensure that you are keeping contact with your Hockey community.

To All Gold Coast Hockey Members
RE: COVID -19
The Gold Coast Hockey Association would like to inform all members that the competition will be suspended immediately.
Any Hockey related activities should cease immediately until the 2nd of May 2020.
GCHA will continue to monitor the evolving situation of Covid-19 and advice from the Department of Health throughout this period
and endeavour to keep members of the hockey community informed as to how the season will take shape.
The health and safety of our members and the broader community is absolute paramount in this decision.
Please listen and adhere to all Government advice to help reduce the risks and we hope to be able to be back playing
the Hockey season in the coming months.
On a brighter note, by the time we come back to recommence, the second field would have been replaced and this will
allow us to proactively extend the season regardless of sporting cross overs into the summer seasons if required.
